What is it? How old? The image and design are really faint but it looks like there is writing under image in center

Interesting find. I'm guessing it's from the 1920's. King Tut's tomb was discovered in 1922 and really launched a craze around the world for Egyptian designs. A really wild guess is that it's some type of stove pipe or vent cover based mostly on it's size (but I'm no expert).
