Prob melted shells molded to award given to soliders of 101st airborne

Oh yeah...double down on the cool factor!! Trench Art. I've heard of that, but never seen any.

Seems to be mostly speculation about these (regarding when/where they were made and the origin of the brass), but they were made in a quantity that would take them out of the description of true trench art: Bastogne Plaques | Collectors Weekly

Thanks nhbenz - I figured that was out there somewhere. It's too refined to be trench art - has a manufactured look to it, but TOTALLY awesome!! Out of the three shown, I like the octagon best!!
