This stone is interesting to me. It resembles a lithic club, however looks as if it was sliced and has cut markings like a piece of meat. About 4 or 5 inches from top to bottom. However measurements are not exact as I packed it away last week for future study. Found in a small hill of rocks and dirt piled up after digging a pond 4 years ago. Found a stunning flint knife and other artifacts there the same day. Was the first time I checked this area. Thoughts?

Just natural stone, not an artifact.

I Personally think it's just a rock but You said you found a knife and other artifacts in the same area. Were there any other objects made from this material? Maybe it was used for material or sharpening ect... I see lots of stones that look like they could've been used a long long time ago. Many have the shape but there's no evidence left of being manipulated or used by Man due to certain environments. This is where someone will have to make a choice whether to keep their find or not. I ignore these finds because I would then have to purchase another 6,000 sq foot warehouse if I did not.
Good luck hunting!!!
