I found this bronze ring thing in an old farm field -- any idea what it is?

It doesn't look like the ones we usually find, but I wonder if it is the finger hole for a candle holder.

IM NOT SURE BUT THE TOP RING IS A LITTLE THINNER AND THE REINS GUIDE HOOP SEEMS A LITTLE THICKER AND BASE OF THE TOP PIC TO THE HOOP SEEMS JUST A HAIR MORE LONGER AND THE REINS GUIDE BASE SEEMS CLOSER TO THE HOOP BUT MY EYES ARE NOT THE GREATEST.
