Hey Mitchell, you can research the hallmark and stampings on the back of the spoon, and find out when it was made and what this piece is formally named. There are many silverware collector sites on the internet. Good Luck, Sub 8-)

A berry serving spoon, one of those that cheats you out of getting the yummy berry sauce goodness.

That's why I don't use one for my berries! I use a spoon like that for serving boiled veggies so you don't dump water on your plate.

man that is a bon bon spoon if ever I saw one....my best guess...I cant read the engraving when enlarged and that would help.Another ave.for research is candy spoon.

what stamp is on your spoon, ive always known that type of spoon as a berry spoon

Artemis moon my first thought, too.
The severe wear of the business-end of it could be explained by the burning sugar cube used when serving the drink.
But I've never handled an absynthe spoon...
