Can someone help, please. Any info, or did I post this on the wrong place?

It is a Frederick Geiger Cautery Transformer. Used in surgical cauterization. This particular model has been in production since 1913.

In the future, could you post "What is it" questions in the proper section of this forum?

Thanks, that's what I said, we got it back in the early 70's. It was at an estate sale of a retired doctor. My husband thought it was a soldering tool. Still works. Cleaning out the garage and forgot it was there. Now I need to figure out what to do with it. Thanks, again.
