Found this in a local park next to several 40's-50's wheat pennies.

Seems to be made of cast aluminum. Has a single pinhole at either the top or bottom that goes neatly all the way through but its not exactly centered. On the other end it has the two holes that are slightly offset and they tunnel through to form one holegoing through the back.

I was thinking maybe there were fake stones in the two holes and the hole in the back was to let light through to light them up? At first I thought maybe a tiny door knocker or drawer pull but with the two holes being offset, I dont think thats right.

Turned with the small pinhole at the top it kind of looks likes a lion head, and turned with the pinhole at the bottom it kind of looks like an owl or one of the ghosts from pacman.

I hit it with the wire wheel to clean it up a little in a couple of the pics.

Looks like it may have been a little pendant at one point. Maybe a lion face...? Can't really tell for sure... Cool find tho!
