Found this axe head made out of iron is it old!

The top of the axe is straight the bottom is different it rings up as iron on my new garratt 350 is this a modern or old axe

It looks pretty modern, if it was super old it would have more build up that you would have to run through electrolysis to get it off. I would guess 40's or newer.

I found it in the woods behind a church .church dates back to late 18th century

Wow that sounds like a great place to hunt! Were you able to hunt right in front? I would imagine It would have a ton of coins ! Everyone bringing there offerings some were bound to lose them.
