Hey guys. This is my first time on here. This past Sunday was our first time to go out with our new metal detectors. My son is 10 he is my little partner. We found mostly junk. But not sure bout this. We are both hooked on this new hobby. Can't stop thinking about going back out lol.

Any ideas on what this might be??

Thanks!!

The second item looks like a broken singletree hook or other loop off a harness set up.

Can't tell what the first item is...

the first one appears to be an eagle maybe that goes on the end of some higher end flag poles, or it could have been on the end of something. Welcome to Tnet my fellow BAMA bro

Is there a hole/opening at both ends? If not, the solid may be the top. WELCOME to the forum, and I think it is WONDERFUL that you and your son are sharing this great hobby together! :) Breezie

No there is no sign of hole or threads. Thanks for the welcome. I am an avid deer hunter n bass fisherman. My son cares nothing for fishing N is off n on with the deer hunting.

When we dug up a couple of cool items Sunday he was smiling ear n ear n high fiving with every find. I got excited cause he did. I think this is a hobby when can definitely share!! n the mystery of what is under the next beep is definitely a rush.

I'm soo glad We stumbled onto this new world of fun.

Since there is no hole at this end, we can assume 'if' it is a finial, the so called 'wings' would be in the direction of my above pic. 'If' it is a base piece, it would be as your first pic shows it. You may want to try to gently clean off some of the corrosion to see if there is anything marked on it. :) Breezie
