Sure looks like a 230gr FMJ from a 45ACP pistol.

As TxMike said, it is a FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) 20th-century copper-jacketed .45 caliber automatic pistol bullet. With bullets, the term "jacketed" means the bullet's lead body is partially or fully covered by a thin layer of another metal. In your case, the jacket is copper.

Unfortunately, we cannot accurately date your bullet, because it has been continuously manufactured for about 100 years, and is still being made today.

Thanks for the help . Would it be something like this.. I found these a few years ago in some city parks . They are all different makes I guess,.,.As I am not into guns and bullets..I appreciate all the help... Sounds very interesting Shane

Yep Milwaukee County parks..The 3 hollow points in the back I dug up right next to a tot lot . The Park was not to far from the Mitchell Airport.. This is just from the South Side of Milwaukee , which is the only place I MD . You will not catch me on the North Side Packerbacker if you know what I mean.. Shane
