What is it/was it?

I found this neat item yesterday while hunting in an old mining community. Most of the population back in the day were eastern Europeans living here and working in the mines. Hardly anyone living here now. Most of the old houses were torn down and bits of stuff are scattered everywhere. Looking at the front there seems to be a crest? Fairly heavy and there are tiny specks of gold color left in some of the crevices. It's just really odd and thought some of our experts might know.

Maybe part of a lantern? Kinda' looks like a wick might have gone up through the center of it.

Now..to figure out who/what the crest represents.

The crown symbolizes the fact that the Patriarchs Militant degree is the highest in Odd Fellowship,.

The shepherd's crook and sword crossed within the crown represent peace and war, respectively. Together, they represent one of the organization's two Latin mottoes, Pax aut Bellum, which means "Peace or War." The other motto is Justitia Universalis, which means "Universal Justice."

The three links are the emblem of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and represent Friendship, Love, and Truth. (Sometimes the letters F L T are included within the links.)
