What is it? Some farming item?

Good Day Everyone,

I found this while out in a field at about 5" deep and have no idea what it is. It was about 5 feet from what appears to be a plow tine (see pics below). Both sides are heavily encrusted, so I couldn't see any marks. Both sides look the same.

Found this item about 5 feet from this ...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

First one is a chain shortening hook. Chain was fastened in the eye and then drawn around a hitch and hooked into the chain to shorten it.
