I agree. Lots of hot rocks around confusing the detectors. I constantly pull rocks out of the ground testing them with my probe to make sure it is not them beeping my machine.

If you found them by a railroad track...it is lead ore.( Lead Rocks)Don't let the kids play with them too much.

Looks like the burnt coke (coal) we get over here. Full of minerials / metals.

I clear tons of it from nearly every field I do.

I'm with the burnt coke...

Used to play with stuff from the mill that actually floated...we called it feather rock..but just leftover crap from the local mills.
