✅ SOLVED What is it? (pocket watch lid?)

I found this yesterday, I'm not sure if it is silver or aluminum, it feels too light to be silver(kindof thick) I feel like it is aluminum. Very interesting design on front, I took photos using my loop over the phone camera lens on the closeup shots. Found it about six inches deep on the edge of yard/driveway off a very old highway along with allot of clad

I would guess silver but the light is throwing me off on the close-ups...looks a bit brassy. Shouldn't be hard to track it down with all of that information. Keep us posted!

Omega makes watches an cases...fine material in most instances.

Duh, my guess might be right---- watch!!! I,m jumping in my truck and head back there to see if I missed any of it. I'll post later let ya all know what I found.

That serial # would be about 1920.

I'm guessing its real....fakes are most commonly more intact purely by virtue of their age.I would humbly suggest a jewlers test kit from amazon.com.....get the good one...bout 65.00 u.s.....no more wondering.

Now if it is an original omega....truth is what you have is maybe 20 grams of silver.Personally it would enter my collection as opposed to the 8 or 9 bucks scrap value.

Thanks for your kind words, one thing I left out of the story was that my 19 yr old son found it with my old Garrett 250 I can't wait to see him in the morning and let him read this thread. I got him hooked good now, Haaaaaaaaa.
