What is this? What is carbon? What type of metal it it? Pot metal? If it is a button. When was it produced if it is a company. I see in picture 3. Which is the back of the thing. Is a metal swirl spoink and a Brown clothy stringy thing? 20210127_013520.webp20210127_013531.webp20210127_013543.webp20210127_013549.webp20210127_013606.webp

Banner find for sure. Definitely a 16th center spoink! I can see its dark, circular eyes and its large gray nose, and if you look closely, you can even see it small ears. Stellar find indeed.

Maybe a rivet from a coal miner's cap. You don't tell us where you found it so we have no way of knowing if you're in coal country.

You ask the strangest things-and I wonder if you have ever heard of Google? (Not that I will ever read a response)
Type in your numerous questions and you might be pleasantly surprised of what you will find out.
Though I will help you out on this one.

What is carbon?

Carbon is a chemical element with the symbol C and atomic number 6. It is nonmetallic and tetravalent—making four electrons available to form covalent chemical bonds. It belongs to group 14 of the periodic table. Carbon makes up only about 0.025 percent of Earth's crust. Wikipedia

Swirl Spoinks are usually found alongside dinglehoffers and they turn anti-clockwise.

Speaking of studs... Charlie P is 'The Man'!

I will add that swirl spoinks only turn anti-clockwise in Australia.
