Whats this found not to far away from a 1940s motel. How old at least what type metal hand forged? Is it modern or old? How should I preserve it how old is it at least. Size measurements next to ruler, us quarter on reverse , and measure tape. : ).

Do u think it belonged to the 1940s motel? that is now demolished. is it modern or old? Or it coulve been lost recently? How do u think it was lost ??

sure it could have gone to a 1940s building but are still used today. yours does look old.

I think it looks more like duct hanger. Those prefab brackets don't go back too far.
