First Item.. Tube with slot on one side, hollow, possible a measure??
Ok, I meant to add some scale here... this is about 4" long and looks like a piece might be missing. the spring hooked to something?? I know of a few other pieces like this being dug in camps but it could just be some farm tool


Second item, it is iron but sort of looks like a tompkin?? Not sure.
This is about 2" long, is threaded. Pretty sure it isn't a hinge pin.. Again a camp find, it was really deep but not sure of the history of the location so it might have just been a farm item turned under??

The item that you say resembles a tompion appears to be a door-hinge's iron pin.

Ha, yes tompion not tompkin?? Didn't notice the misspelling!! This is iron unlike the brass ones normally found so not sure...
