What is It? A Civil War Bullet? A Pinfire Bullet?

I found this item on a piece of property that has yielded Union and Confederate bullets. The top has a small round indentation. The bottom has a concave shape into the base that you would think would be used to aid in propelling the bullet from the firing device. There are about 14 "ridges" or marks that go all around the piece from bottom to top, almost like there was some kind of crimping applied. It is about 17mm round and 12mm high. Most definitely a shotgun slug. Last week I found one about 50 ft away from a confederate garner.
