There are so many of us who are just so frustrated with the state of our country. Whether you are Liberal or Conservative, we're all just FRUSTRATED!!!

I'm tired of reading the news. I'm tired of posting in the Second Amendment Forum! Nothing but vile and depressing events to post. Where's the good news?

Right now I feel like Crispin felt when he took his leave of absence from our site here. I look for jokes to post, and MORE RELEVANT important issues which should not be ignored.

I just don't want to post anything in here any more because it is ALL bad, negative, nasty, betrayal, and more than that. It sets a mood I do NOT want to have.

We have a government shutdown in progress. We have a government we can not believe in any more.

Even the Senate itself is predicting civil war.

And the TRUCKER BLOCKADE OF DC is NEXT weekend. Shutdown, blockade, veterans kept out of memorial parks, citizens just completely upset, a poor lady crashing a gate, and there is a fuse just waiting to be lit. And that fuse at this point in time has a really fuzzy end, just begging for ignition.

By next weekend, DC won't be a place we want to be - and there are many hot heads who want to be there. And this blockade appears to be going to happen.

There have been threats in the past on shutdowns, almost every year, and sometimes every few months. But now we have the current crisis with stalemate in government, and this might not be the right time for this to happen.

Deep, you speak the truth. Dont usually post here but do read it quite a bit. No truer words have been posted here

I know how you feel DeepSeeker,Ive been posting here for going on 5 years.Ive been tired of it at times but then I think. If I give up they win, cant have that now can we,hell no.Times like this is when a stubborn streak comes in handy,if you dont have one, find one.:laughing7:I would look at it as surrendering,I dont surrender,I refuse to surrender, especially to human garbage.

Deep seeker, I understand your frustration I experience it as well and it affects my health as I have gone for scheduled normal test and Dr asks why my blood pressure is up, I think about it and remember getting frustrated about something I read.

Problem is I think about our forefathers and what would have happen if they gave up due to frustrations, then I think of my kids and grand kids and what will happen to their rights and freedoms if I gave up.

That is all it takes to re-energized my desire to continue fighting.

Being tired and frustrated doesn't mean that we will give up the fight......anything worth having and saving is worth fighting for, and this battle between idealolgys will continue just as the crusades have. It's a long haul, but one not to be given up, for future generations depend on the what can be done to preserve the rights and liberties that so many have fought and died for.....Gary

Good luck to the truckers, I hope something good can come from it.

The high fuel prices are not just hurting them, I believe they have stymied our entire economy. No one has any extra money to go out to eat, or buy non essential merchandise, etc., things that boost our economy.

Drop fuel back to $1.25/gal. and our economy would zoom.

Big oil companies are making a killing on us, and the people that could do something about it won't, because they are getting their cut.

Utter BS, but what can be done?

We shall overcome
We shall overcome
We shall overcome some day.
Oh deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome someday...

It seems we are all frustrated with the situation at hand and answers don't seem to come easily. I find a lot of truth, in regards to the situation, in the words of Jiddu Krishnamurti.
If we, you, me, and everyone don't start accepting our roles in this divine comedy, we might as well just give them our guns and let them shackle us.

We human beings are what we have been for millions of years - -colossally greedy, envious, aggressive, jealous, anxious and despairing, with occasional flashes of joy and affection. We are a strange mixture of hate, fear and gentleness; we are both violence and peace. There has been outward progress from the bullock cart to the jet plane but psychologically the individual has not changed at all, and the structure of society throughout the world has been created by individuals. The outward social structure is the result of the inward psychological structure of our human relationships, for the individual is the result of the total experience, knowledge and conduct of man. Each one of us is the storehouse of all the past. The individual is the human who is all mankind. The whole history of man is written in ourselves.

Do observe what is actually taking place within yourself and outside yourself in the competitive culture in which you live with its desire for power, position, prestige, name, success and all the rest of it - observe the achievements of which you are so proud, this whole field you call living in which there is conflict in every form of relationship, breeding hatred, antagonism, brutality and endless wars. This field, this life, is all we know, and being unable to understand the enormous battle of existence we are naturally afraid of it and find escape from it in all sorts of subtle ways. And we are frightened also of the unknown - frightened of death, frightened of what lies beyond tomorrow. So we are afraid of the known and afraid of the unknown. That is our daily life and in that there is no hope, and therefore every form of philosophy, every form of theo- logical concept, is merely an escape from the actual reality of what is.

All outward forms of change brought about by wars, revolutions, reformations, laws and ideologies have failed completely to change the basic nature of man and therefore of society. As human beings living in this monstrously ugly world, let us ask ourselves, can this society, based on competition, brutality and fear, come to an end? Not as an intellectual conception, not as a hope, but as an actual fact, so that the mind is made fresh, new and innocent and can bring about a different world altogether? It can only happen, I think, if each one of us recognises the central fact that we, as individuals, as human beings, in whatever part of the world we happen to live or whatever culture we happen to belong to, are totally responsible for the whole state of the world.

We are each one of us responsible for every war because of the aggressiveness of our own lives, because of our nationalism, our selfishness, our gods, our prejudices, our ideals, all of which divide us. And only when we realize, not intellectually but actually, as actually as we would recognise that we are hungry or in pain, that you and I are responsible for all this existing chaos, for all the misery throughout the entire world because we have contributed to it in our daily lives and are part of this monstrous society with its wars, divisions, its ugliness, brutality and greed - only then will we act.

I feel your pain Roger.
The French want to know if we can wake up Thomas Jefferson.

They even closed down the Omaha Beach cemetery in Normandy.

If there ever was a time, since the Revolution, to remain informed and spread the word, it is now. I understand how you feel deep but hang in there, it's the other side we want to silence! :)

Packer we don't really want to silence the other side but just wake them up so they see what is going on right in front of them....
