Re: What is a Micro "O"

I remember reading an article once about a micro "o" being used to identify some counterfeit coins, Morgan dollars, I think. I have a lot of my research in boxes right now, but if I find it here, I'll post the title and issue. I remember it being a coin magazine....maybe somebody else will know right off-hand.

Yep
Also, who cleaned that dime?

Re: What is a Micro "O"

I know! when I pulled it out of the dirt I couldn't see the date so I wiped it with my finger. I can't believe how much damage I did to it, I won't be doing that again.

Re: What is a Micro "O"

wow! Well at least you learned your lesson ;D That's a lot of scratching for just a wipe. Strange.

Yep. Soak 'em in water for a bit and then turn the faucet on hard and blast the dirt off of them. Finish any remaining dirt with a camel's hair make-up brush while the water is still running. Best way to keep from scratching them. When I find a silver, regardless of what type it is, it goes in the old plastic medicine container filled with cotton balls.

I hope you dont find any silver today BB because you left your bottle with your balls in it on my kitchen counter the last time you were over.

Note to BB---please come over and remove your balls asap. It would be most appreciated! Have a nice day. ;D
