what in your view is the best detector upto date

I have been limited to lower end metal detectors funny thing is I found each to have thier own merits. I know some of you guys/gals would have had every brand going then some so what I want to ask which model of detector that you have ever owned be it a 1970's model or the most upto date model what was it and why?

I went with the dfx because I wanted something with adjustability. I would like to try an se now also...

Ahhh, The light finally shines through!! Guess it is time to find some silver. Might want to look at the Fisher f-75 too-just as deep and lightning recovery
