So my husband got me a beginners metal detector for my birthday (Bounty Hunter Quick Silver IV) and today while trying it out, I got a hit on this thing.
Recently, I've found an old horseshoe and pieces of old spurs out here, so I'm questioning if this is something related.
It hit on the "coins" setting, just FYI.

Haha! I've already worn blisters on my hands from digging around, and so far, in my yard, I've found a handful of change, a billion rusty nails and some old pop-tabs.
But our residence is relatively newer compared to others around here. Tomorrow I hope to go into town were a historical home once stood (yay for family ground!) and see what I can dig up.
