what in the world is this?

it looked to me like a dodge ram hood ornament at first..lol............it appears to be just ornate i guess. sorry about the angle i took this pic.

it is the item all the way to the right...its iron...i found it in a colonial area in hanover, va.

been trying to find a picture of what one looks like but not finding a good one. i still think it looks like a hook, a beam drive in hook. i have seen them many times in really old log cabins or rock houses , used to hang stuff . i have never seen a double drop like that though , but see no reason why a black smith couldnt make a double as well as a single drop one.
