What, if not a bottle opener?

I really don't think it's an opener, but from what farm impliment would this be? Found on a Missouri farm that pre-dates the CW. No markings, approx. 6" long.

looks like a line level? Spirit level...forgot the real name.

Although I can't find a substantiating photograph, I have a sneaky feeling that it is a type of bed rail bracket.

Agree with nbenz. I found one showing the handle detached and it shows the same spur. Looks like a small piece broke or rusted off yours.
