Detector(s) used
White's DFX
A digging tool that has a pinpointer built in. I already use my pinpointer as a shovel (yea, broke a few) or one that you can insert a pinpointer into. The digger would have to be plastic.

P.S. Don't forget me when you make your 1st million

I guess you could base it on a composite digger and have a coil integrated inside the digger and the electronics inside the handle of the digger. I think you would have a very thick digger unless you could design a very unusual coil. I think you have a wonderful idea I guess making it practical would be the hard part.

Seem to remember one of Eric Fosters P.I.'s many years back being called 'The detector that digs', It was a beach machine after the period of the Deepscan and PPD1 (discriminating pulse) that used a sort of hardened plastic digger which I assume had the machines pinpoint probe built in.
For sand use I assume it could take the wear. Later models went back to having attached probes of the normal type so there must have been snags.
