What happened to the marbles?

I have these marbles that were in a jar in my Grandmothers basement.When she passed away I kept the marbles.I have seen all of the discussions on marbles on this website and was wondering if any of these are worth keeping?Any comments on my marbles? HB

when I was a child in the fifties.People used to have a visor over their automobile headlights and in the top of the visor was a clear colored marble.This would let the driver know that their headlights were working.Great idea back then,except us boys would steal them if the cars were unattended.At that time there weren't many clear colored marbles and we desired them greatly!

Cool..we used to make them all the time when we was kids back in the 50's.It was not easy to do either without shatterin them. mmmm...did other kids do this or was it jist us coz our dad was a glassblower ?
Thinkin back now...we used to blow eggs too.

My sister and my cousins and I used to make them, or attempt to, as well.
Haven't seen any in a long time though.

We used to make them by heating them up in the oven and then dropping them in cold water.

yep...did it in science class in 4th grade.and they crack instantly.
