Ive seen at least one post from him of some decent, but more mediocre finds from the site.

Could be any number of reasons. What happens quite a bit here is we'll find a good little old site, have a great hunt and post, but the return trip might not even be worth mentioning. It's uncommon for us to get a second good hunt at a site, really uncommon to get a 3rd good hunt, and down right rare to get 4 good ones. Back when we started detecting these old sites in fields they did last a bit longer, but now 10 years of doing the same thing we're pretty good at beating them quiet.

And there's also the possibility they started finding too much, more than anyone should post! But common sense would say it's probably just somewhere in the middle... between nothing and the mega score... if he is even getting out.
