I believe it's a mark dating from the Roman Empire (Before 1453CE), back to Jesus days; when they were in the area (now middle east). some say there was another N not carved but poping out of the rock with the hole on top of it. in this pic the hole is 10cm deep and 5cm diameter. but can't relate the hole dimensions and location with the letter and meaning

It means look thru hole/hoyo off to the left under the v cut in the ridgeline of the cliff.

There also might be a second place to look thru straight above the marking. The N shape is just a general shape you look for in the ridge line of the cliff. You have to climb up to many of these type things, the mark is just telling you about the spot to look thru as well as marking it so you can find it again from the ground level.

It's probably showing you a boulder that is part of a triangle that you shoot thru. The boulder you see thru the hole will be the main one that you measure off of and line up from another corner boulder of the triangle thru. Although it's possible it shows the dig spot/area. They are all a little different.

could this be the spot?? the surrounding rocks looks like there is room below and this rock facing the first mark shown above.

That looks like a set of heart lobes or a ground level gunsite type thing. It could be close by it or within a couple hundred feet, but you should be able to see the spot from the V notch there. What do you see when you climb up and look from the skyline hoyo/holes. There should be 2 right by each other and they will look like you are looking thru a set of air hole eyes in the rocks before you look thru correct one. kind of like this

I think it was made by Mother Nature because of all the runs in the rocks that come down and gas bubble holes in the rocks around it
