What Does This Mean ????

Well, today I took the Ace with me to work, since it was "Take Your Metal Detector To Work Day". I was the only phone tech who celebrated, I hope the rest of you did too !!
Late in the day we got a chance to swing a little and as expected at this park found mostly clad. I did however find a ring in pretty good shape that has "628" stamped inside. This was a first for us and I am hoping that someone can fill us in. After that my Ace and I called it a day and clocked out !

628 seems like an odd 16K gold ring. 535is 14K, 750 is 18K. Nice find and congrats! HH, Mike
