What does the III symbolize

Found this silver ring mid slope on yesterday's hunt. I know what the fish symbol usually stands for but does anyone know why the roman numeral 3 is inside it?

Did a search.. nothing.

Yeah I've been searching all morning and can't find anything on the III inside the fish either but several guesses make sense
