Hello all,,,
Not sure what 1957 has to do with anything, but out of the last two hunts, I have found a 1957 Canadian cent, a 1957 coin from Spain (5 PTAS, Pictured below ), and a whistle. The whistle hasn't got a date on it, but when I did a google, I found out that the company that made it was founded, guess when, 1957... Weird... The whistle is marked," Colsoff - Ohio- U.S.A.". The Colsoff stand for, " Columbus official".
Good luck, & happy hunting~

Nice finds Leon! You might know this but, Spain uses Euros now so they don't make Spanish Pasetas anymore, makes the coin a little more interesting. HH, Mike

Did ya's see what the PowerBall number was for Sat. 25th... ( 22 )... That was the actual day I found the items... ;D I don't think Momma even picked up a ticket... I better run down and get me a pick 4 for today and see what happens...
Good luck all, & Happy hunting~

P.S.> I hadn't noticed it until I just replied to my Designer earring post:

, but the 1957 showed up in it too...( three days in a row) ;D The designer earring I found, was made by Christan Dior, and Dior died in 1957,,, Hmmm...

Smartin,
I noticed your avatar? a section of a wine field. I grew up in a small Ohio town and everywhere were vineyards.
From my earliest recollection I remember the sweet succulent taste of slip skin Concords. Many days of my youth were spent making 'wine'. lol. Lots of puking and diarrhea in the early years. I love your small photo there. It brings back many happy memories. Thought I'd share that slice of life with you.

Cap Z.

Cap Z,
Glad you like the picture. It's of my muscadine vineyard in TN.If you're not familiar with muscadines, they are native North American grapes, name derived I think from the French, who called the flavor muskell (or muscat).I have a small farm (65 acres)with about 2 acres in muscadines. (another obsession of mine) I to enjoy winemaking (and drinking).

Good luck on the digs,
Smartin
