What do you use to dig?

Just curious what kind of tools people use to dig... Maybe this should be a poll as I can't imagine there are two many methods..

I think I've seen a reference to people using a knife...

I haven't decided on what kind of a tool to use. I got a cheapy shovel with my detector... Looks like it's made for treasure hunting.. But I didn't like using it -- even for the few holes I dug so far.

I have a 20" trawl from KELLYCO, was probably longer, but I sharpen it regularly. soon time for a longer one?

I guess I am a little pre historic here, I just use a large knife to cut my plug, them have a 24" screwdriver.

Knives work pretty well actually, and screwdrivers are good for pinpointing clad.
