What do you all think about this?

If this is true it might help the silver to gold ratio to tighten a bit. LOL! Would be neat though if it really worked, turning empty beer bottles into gold. Did they ever say what that base metal was? I didn't catch it.

Neat story and worth watching the video.

What do I think about this? Alchemy? Ranks right up there with medieval blood-letting and leeches.

Now, to be more on-topic for the Forum, I'm afraid PMs are headed for a very significant beat-down. I wish I would have waited longer to ad to my silver position. I was impatient and bought more than I should have in the $20 range. Maybe, I'll just buy more (if the chance comes) and average down a bit.

It's a story about someone making gold out of junk (not saying I believe the story as true, but it is interesting). Since gold is a precious metal, it seems to fit in the precious metals forum pretty well to me. Maybe there is an alchemy sub forum here?

I just posted it for fun since nobody posted anything new in a while and there is not much new to talk about.

Jim,

I didn't intend for you to take the lead-in in my second paragraph as a suggestion that you were off-topic. I was just trying to setup my follow-on (and somewhat unrelated) comment. Re-reading my post, I can certainly see how you could take it that way. Bad choice of words on my part. Sorry.

I did take your post as you intended, for fun only. My reply was in the same vein.

i dunno we can create diamonds now from carbon....granted that is atoms forming a crystal lattice so to speak, but if we can smash atoms, and we can force atoms into patterns that we like, it should be possible to manipulate atoms to other atoms. who knows but I think everything is possible with the right equipment and energy inputs.
