We have a lot of metamorphic rock up here. That appears to be one of them. Mostly quartz. It could also be granite though so close to the coast we don’t have too much of that though I would imagine we could end up with some in the rivers. I’m up in Eureka.

Joe you think that's a bunny??
I thought it was Aquaman riding a Sea serpent holding a horse.

Don't know what the rock is, but it's cool!!

My first question would be, is it a rock or a chunk of some type of metal? :icon_scratch:
I'm thinking that it kind of looks like a chunk of silver/iron ore, my second thought was fire melted aluminum.

"Silver is found in it’s ‘native form’ very rarely as nuggets, but more usually combined with sulfur, arsenic, antimony, or chlorine and in various ores such as argentite, chlorargyrite and galena, lead ore often contains significant amounts of silver. As silver is often found in conjunction with these or alloyed with other metals such as gold, it usually must be further extracted through amalgamation or electrolysis. Large deposits of silver were discovered and mined in the Americas in the 16thc, influencing the growth and development of Mexico, Andean countries such as Bolivia, Chile, and Peru, as well as Canada and the United States."

You might want to check out this website... https://thediggings.com/usa/california/humboldt-ca023
"Humboldt County, California currently has 756 records of mining claims on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management and 230 records of mines listed by the United States Geological Survey."
