I found a coin sized piece of silver that is one sided and I have no idea what it is. Any thoughts?

Yes it's silver. It's not a spent bullet if you notice the two circles that go around the outer edge on the front they are perfect and the back is perfectly flat and smooth. Not consistent with a spent bullet as I have found those but never like this. I could upload side profile pictures if that would help.

There appears to be some sort of writing inside those circles but I can barely make them out looking at it with the naked eye.

A better photo would help. Put a dime, quarter next to it for comparison to size.

It's a non magnetic softer metal with seemingly high heat conductivity if that helps. When held in the light I can see a scuff from when I dug it up that shines in a silver appearance.

Looks like lead to me. Seems there used to be something similar used on old-fashioned roofing nails.

I believe it is a lead roofing nail cap. I have one site that I have found dozens of them.

Thanks for the responses guys. Any idea of an era this might be from? Maybe an old homestead site worth looking at more.

If there was ever livestock on the property, it might be from a feeder or shelter.

....I have also seen similar things on wire seals - like what the electric company used to put on your meter box to prevent tampering.
