The 2nd item looks to be the handle for a pot belly/cast iron stove. 172891_lg.jpg

Is the 1st item wood? Kinda looks like what was used to fasten barn stall doors, corn crib doors.

Yes the first item is wood. It has some marks on it like some one was using it like a wood mallet. Or hitting the sides to remove it from what ever it was in.

As River Rat says, the handle is for a coal stove, the square hole is for the shaker grate and the tab on the end is the lid lifter.

I searched the net ("knox stove" tool) and found all four (together) in the picture (and listed as 4 vintage wood stove tools tool turners handles antique) went for $18.00 September, 20, 2010. I also found the company (maybe) listed on the wrench: Knox Stove Works

Thanks for the information Woodstock. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is I just found it and have not been willing to cut into it to find out. It looks old. The wood is light with straight grain. Usually I will cut a sample and look at the grain with a magnifying glass and compare it with an online database that has pictures of various wood samples with names.
