What did i find at colonial charcoal pit?

I found this at a charcoal pit I located in a preserve near my home. We had iron furnaces dating back to 1700's... Now it doesn't mean what I found is from that long ago.... But it's tbe only metal I detected in this remote location.

It's a heavy little thing.... My first thought was bullet, but with tbe rings , doubt it. One end is flat tbe other end rounded and worn. Spark plug also came to mind. Any ideas?
 

It looks to be a bullet. I think they call those wadcutters.

After researching , yep it would appear you are correct... Determining age doesn't seem possible as they can date back to WWI to the present. Sadly I did not find a great piece of history. Thank you!
