I like to buy unusual things. Usually I find them on the internet though, no such luck with this.

I bought this at an auction last night.

The paper that comes with it gives the schematics and says:

Radar Sentry Alarm models SS-301, SS-302, SS-303
Radar Devices Manufacturing Corp. 2203 Harper Avenue, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080

It is a red velvet lined case with black leather case. The horn on the left plugs into the main system or you can plug
it in right to power outlet. IT IS VERY LOUD. The main unit plugs into the power outlet, these are older style plugs with
no ground prong. There is an antennae on a base that plugs into the back, a key unit that plugs into the back and also
a square unit. I plugged it in and the lights come on and the dial moves a little but still have no idea what it does.

Any input would be appreciated.

I think it is a mobile metal detector....we had a similar thing at might work which might have even been from the same company. Guessing for use by security to detect weapons and such or even stolen merchandise like the detectors at stores.

Just a guess, but could it also be a lighting strike indicator? with the antenna and siren...you would use them at athletic fields, and if there was a lighting strike within a certain distance, the alarm would sound notifying people to clear the field. See if you can find a patent number somewhere and look it up.

Does a metal object have to be passed by the antenna or sensor to have it sound off? Any tuning adjustments?
Looks cool...even though. HH, Woodstock
