What dates do you need in your jefferson album?

I was JUST thinking about starting a jefferson album... but im kind of OCD and want to fill it ALL or not do it at all. and not cheat an use ebay lol

I've been through over $18,106 in nickels, not all of them date-checked, and all I'm missing is the 50D. I've found 1 38D, 2 38S, 3 39D, 4 39S, 35 42P silver, and at least one of everything else. I want to finish it from circulation too

I have hunted Boxes of nickels for almost 2 years now, I am guessing two or three hundred boxes. I only put sets together from coin roll hunting. So far I have completed 1 set and need the 39S and 50D for a second set, I only work on the oldest album 1938-1961. It is hard to believe how difficult it is to find certain dates. Nickels remain my favorite coin to search because every box gives up a little something. Thanks and Good Luck. Dennis.

Have done 50+ boxes in my time, still doing nickel boxes. Still need: 1938d 1938s 1939d 1939s and 1950d

I need: 38D, 39D, 50D, and 55

This is definitely my favorite album to add coins to, and I love how the war nickels stand out next to the non-silver coins.

i've got some old Whitmans at my parents house in MN, I'll check when I am home for turkey day, I know that i was pretty close to having 2 full books

The 50d has a lot lower mintage than others, also 38@39 s@d are also low mintage.

Mine 1st nickel book is finish......Matt

I went through over 200 boxes. I finished two 1938-61 folders. The third one is missing 3 coins (already found 50d).

I am working on a Jeferson nickel album from what I can find in circulation only. I have gone through about $2500 in nickels. These are the dates I still need:
1938-D
1938-S
1939-D
1939-S
1942-P Silver
1943-D
1944-D
1950-D
1958

Last night I hit a nice streak and found your 38-S X 2, 39-D, 39-S X 2, & 50-D X 2. The others I find with regularity.

All I need is the 1964 nickel, I cant find it anywhere. I am amazed at how hard they are to find.

Im j/k obviously, even though it is a bit off subject, I am wondering, does anyone know why I find what seems like at least one 64, to several in every roll?

64 Was the year that the mintages really took off. Between 64 and 64d there was more than 2 billion nickels produced.

Thanks for all of your posts. For some reason I can't find that 1958. Also where I am in Wisconsin seems like the D minted silvers are hard to find.

I'm still looking for a few key date coins including the 50d but I feel so slighted because I have yet to find any 2009 nickel. For me that quest is greater than the 1950d! :-\
