I found this at the old farmhouse I have been hunting, of course with the usual clad finds and junk but I thought this was cool I just wish I knew the history of it.....What is it...
also it looks like it may have had a pin on the back...its 1 1/2" x 1/2"..

Thanks for looking TnT

Maybe its an old scarf pin, neat find, pretty craftsmanship. How far does the farm date back too?

Hi TnT, I am pretty sure it is the peice off the end of a old belt. It would have been glued or attached to a peice of leather at the end of a belt. It would have sat right in the middle for a decoration.

I have found similar things like it. Is there any thing on the back of it to look like it was a part of something.

Soomething used as a momento from a girl scout camp? I see a tent, obviously out in the woods a stream and a girl rowing a canoe. Monty

Here is the back of the object..Its in poor shape.

Thanks for all the input.....TnT..

Werent there alot of old girls camps throughout the

Adirondaks,PA and NY ? Maybe its a momento from one of those.

Very Interesting!!!! Nice design and good luck in finding more goodies..... ???

I agree with Gypsy, some kinda GS momento.....the back clip doesn't look like neckerchief material, too thin for the scarf....Still a nice find.Good luck and HH!!

Sure is a nice find. What kind of metal is it made out of?
Craftmanship is good thats for sure. HH Burdie :D :D

Neat looking piece!! I have no idea what it is, but it kind of reminds me of the stuff that you could buy at the souviner shops in the redwood forests here in calif. when I was a kid. Along with the usual cedar boxes, they had miniature knives with scabbards and belts with fake indian beads. I remember there being some things made of copper, but don't remember what. Nice find!! HH

Some kind of clip on the back no doubt, but it looks like part of it is broken off. Monty
