I often wonder what everyone likes to pick up and what they will pass on... occasionally. Of course copper pipes sticking out of a garbage can is obvious. I'm curious about the other items. What do you love to see as you are rolling up the street?

so what is....

1. favorite large appliance?

2. favorite small appliance?

3. favorite iron item/items?

4. favorite multi-metal items?

5. favorite non-iron items?

6. favorite small metal item/items?

7. favorite non-metal items (I call them items of intrest)?

8. Metal items you rarely or never take?

Thank you for taking time to respond to this, I could be fun.

1. heaters & dryers because of the goodies inside of them.
2. electric fans
3. bicycles, exercise equipment, & folding chairs
4. stand up lamps, ceiling fans, gas grills, Xmas lighted reindeer, & patio umbrellas
5. aluminum frames, swifer brooms, lamps, aluminum cans in bags.
6. garden hose ends, wires, tools
7. fishing gear, wicker baskets, books, plates and glass wear, and small wooden chests or boxes. Half of the time I do not even open them til I get home. Like it's treasure and I build it up in my mind. Especially if it rattles when I shake it or feels heavy. I've found some ok things, but nothing great ...yet.
8. refrigerators, freezers, & automatic dishwashers.

Growlin stomach, peewee league honest response

4. Favorite multi metal item - ........... again it's my vitamin. One big pill, iron, zinc.....you name it, it's all in one easy to digest caplet.

5. Favorite non iron items - ...........anything plastic NOT made in China. (Also known as collectors items) Very rare

6. Favorite small metal items - ........ I guess the same as favorite large metal items.. ( the story of my life )

7. Favorite non metal items - ...... I thought that was survey question number 5. If not, same answer.

8. Metal items rarely taken - ..........well, if I didnt say most I would be a liar

Good question. I guess they're about the largest thing I can fit in my small car. They're better than things like toasters and coffee makers. Once you take the first one apart, they all look the same. The bulk is steel. They have a giant transformer, a handful of copper wire, a fan, and a motor. When stripped, I set them face up and fill the cavity with small pieces of steel. (Stack and store easy) I've seen people on eBay selling the turntable plates, magnetrons, and capacitors, but I've never tried it.

at the present time I like to find: Extruded aluminum from pool cages/carports,

Computers (just got the gold recovery bug)

anything with a cord on it even if I don't take anything but the cord.

Aluminum window/doors

that's about all I have time for at this point. :icon_sunny:
