IMO, they appear to have formed from that red clay that Georgia is so famous for. I'd say they're natural.

As others have stated, probably natural but they are real interesting pieces!

Very good point.
Not having been shaped by man doesn't mean they can't be valuable.
I have several interesting pieces of natural stone next to my front door, and a few small ones in with my other finds.
