What are they??

Look like fossilized bird eggs but some are quartz and they all have holes drilled in one end . what are they, and who drilled them and why? a few pics of some other finds. thanks for any opinions.

Thanks for the reply. I found them around Mineral Wells, Tx. close to known Indian encampments. I showed them to the head of the Ft. Worth science museum and he was intrigued but had no ideas. Someone told me they could be sinkers. I appreciate your response. I have a couple more interesting finds that I will post when I can, thanks for your opinions.
