Thoughts on these? I was originally thinking curtain rod mounts. One of my colleagues was thinking they were off of a casket. Hope I don't find the rest of that... :-X

Y'all might have a better idea. Let me know what you think. :icon_scratch:

Huh, maybe some backhoe operator digging a pipeline scooped up something unexpected. Probably took what was still intact dug a hole to the side and relocated it there. Ya don't wanna report that kinda thing, as the authorities would come and shut the job down for who knows how long. A fellow employee of mine was digging a sand pit long time ago with a 70s model Case 450 Crawler Loader. The sand was being used for concrete base. All of a sudden in a scoop of very fine sand some dusty looking 3 foot log looking thing rolled off his bucket full of sand. I was hauling the sand in a dump truck to the home sites where the driveways and sidewalks were gonna be layed with concrete. We stopped to investigate what the heck it was and saw it was a bone about 8" in diameter. The loader operator went to tell the developer who was building the homes. He came over to see it and as digging again resumed more big bones were coming out. One fella said you think we should call the historical society? The developer said HECK NO, they'll shut this job down as soon as they show up. The developer took all the big bones home with him. They were most like the bones of a Mammoth.
