More often than not , you will see holes ina coin or token an we all asume they were worn as a pendant, but often this was a method to see what the composition was or in some case wether or not it was counterfeit

I can not make out the brass one, you could tell it says george washington but the copper one has 1789 1ST President George Washington and it appears that both say the same thing and both sides of the token are the same. Yes one picture is the front and one the back, if you look close you could see more corrosion on the one side of the copper one. Thanks again for the help!! Good Luck!!

They look like some of the 1932 Washington souvenir medals issued for the bicentennial of his birth. Are they the same on both sides?

If you can find a copy of the book Medallic Portraits of Washington by Rulau & Fuld, there's a good chance that they'll be listed.
