Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. :] I found these items but don't know the names of them. i am also wondering if you might know their value. There are some marks underneath the handle that read: E.R. Zinc, silverplated, Italy, and then there is a makers mark that i don't know how to describe and can't get a picture of because my camera can't pick it up. sry If you could help me that would be awesome!

I believe that's a finger bowl. Snooty rich people like to use them on their dinner tables to dip their fingers into after they touch food. I used to be an altar boy, and I recall that during the Catholic mass, priests dip their fingers into a finger bowl at some point too.

Looks a bit like a sugar bowl my grandmother had.

Sweet, thanks for the info!

I believe the "E.R.Zinc" is actually "E.P.Zinc" (EP being Electro Plate) Here's a google Image search using E.P.; http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&....161.1053.10j1.11.0...0.0...1ac.1.-FRPK9XzReY

That should be a good starting point for finding a match. I noted that the pieces with this mark are newer than the days of popular finger bowl usage (which I thought was a good guess). I see items that are sauce bowls, fruit bowls, etc. listed of the same size, but haven't found a match to the rim on yours.
