I found these metal stones at the beach. They aren`t lead and they arn't magnetic. I cant figure them out. They look organic.

Welcome to T NET...what color are they...they look gold in the pic.

Sorry thats the light. They are silver colored. Very shinny for being pulled out of the sand. I live on long island. Found these out in montauk point.

Interesting idea.

I agree with Steve. Looks just like the ones I pull from fire pits except yours look a bit more polished by the sand.

It was a good 8 inches down in the sand

Well darn! I got all excited there for a minute, till you said they were silver color not gold. Wishful thinking!

Yup, melted aluminum! Find it ALL the time here!

If they're light weight then they're aluminum globs. In the old days people would incinerate their garbage and toss it into the ocean. I find bits of that stuff all the time. Another common thing closer to the city is to find little multicolored mystery rocks that sort of look like asteroids - these are pieces of incinerator waste that people and even the city dumped into the ocean in the early-mid 20th century.

Thanks everyone. Just started about a month ago. Found one indianhead 1895 and one barberdime 1892. Hopefully i can dig this winter so far so good.
