Stopped at McDonalds for a shamrock shake yesterday. When the girl handed me my change I was shocked to find a 1897 Barber Quarter in my hands in Fine condition. Go figure.

I got a Mercury dime in change a few months ago. I'd say the odds of you checking your change carefully for the next month or so are quite good.

wow! getting silver in change these days is rare enough, but an 1800's silver is amazing. that rocks!

I've gotten 3 dimes and a quarter in the last year or two. It's ironic that you can find them in coin returns of vending machines and Coinstar's because they are rejected!
