What are the odds
? Weekend finds, NW thawed Indiana & N. ILL.
What are the odds Krazyglue and myself went to my Aunt's house in Milford ILL where there is some age at their house (think barber all morning while traveling!!!). We started by scan an area of their yard to try to find my Uncle's ring, no avail of course. Then started Coin shooting. Krazyglue got 1 silver and I think 7 wheats, I pulled 14 pieces of clad, the 60's Ford Key ring and that yellow cylinder is a lazer pointer (after further investigation). Finally figuring out that xterra I got. So this morning cleaned up my gear and finds and started messing around with the xterra in the front yard here in NW Indiana. Located 3 targets and dug them and found 2 clad pennys and a bullet shell from a .380, or .38 cal auto. Renters lived here for the past 15 years, I found that shell at 3in. and the 59 and 61 lincolns were at 4", just for reference.
So after messin around I thought I would go to my park as I test my Detectors out and pull clad all day. I go to the park and pull a deep clad penny as usual then got a repeatable signal on the next target. I dig it and it is a bullet (first one ive ever found) as im holding it in my had I realize it is about the same size as the shell! What are the odds, hehehehe, park is 1.5mi to the north of my house.
Anyways the bullet is hollow point and is in perfect condition so I guess it could have fallen out of the shell while sittin in the ground, although I didnt find the shell after searching for it.
Still waiting for the first piece of silver, good things will come to those that wait. I guess, but im not waiting, im diggin. It is going to be a good season, I can feel it!!!! Happy Hunting all and have a good evening, talk with ya soon.
