My local shop offered $3.25 per for 40% halves in quantity of 10 or more. No thanks. Best bet is Ebay or CL I think.

My local shop pays 20x on US coinage.
$2.00 for a dime
$5.00 for a Quarter
$10 for a 90% Half
$20 for a 90% Dollar
I am guessing around $4.00-$4.20 for a 40% Half
Selling right now, they would charge 22x.
$2.20 for a dime
$5.50 for a Quarter
$11 for a 90% Half
$22 for a 90% Dollar
I am giessing around $4.40 for a 40% Half

I don't know if it is fair or not, but I pay $0.10 for circulated 90% US dimes; $0.50 for circulated 90% half dollars; and $0.50 for circulated 40% half dollars.

I was at mine and they offered less than break up value to a guy with dozens of proof sets from the late '70s and early '80s. He literally would have been better off opening them up and spending them. $1.75 for $1.91 in coins.
